Tarrazu is one of the six coffee-growing regions of Costa Rica, and probably the most ‘famous’. This bean comes directly from the producers’ cooperative Coop Libertad, located in Santa Marie de Dota, about 70km from the capital San José. Tarrazu is world-renowned for its quality, and these beans are grown at an altitude of around 1,900 metres in conditions of perfect sunshine and humidity.
